La ristampa in un cofanetto deluxe del doppio album del 1974 The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.

La 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition esce in cinque vinili LP e un Blu-ray, quattro CD + Blu-ray e in versione digitale con un mixaggio Dolby ATMOS realizzato da Bob Mackenzie e supervisionato da Peter Gabriel e Tony Banks presso i Real World Studios.
Il nuovo cofanetto include il mix originale dell’album, rimasterizzato presso gli Abbey Road Studios da Miles Showell dai nastri analogici del 1974, mentre un disco audio Blu-ray include l’audio ad alta risoluzione a 96 kHz/24 bit rimasterizzato e i mix Dolby ATMOS dell’album in studio.

Per la prima volta lo spettacolo dal vivo completo The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway Live At The Shrine Auditorium del 24 gennaio 1975, incluse le tracce bis, viene pubblicato nella sua interezza. È rimasterizzato e include due tracce bis Watcher Of The Skie s e The Musical Box. Questa è la prima volta che lo spettacolo dal vivo completo, incluse le tracce bis, viene pubblicato nella sua interezza
Ci sono anche tre demo mai pubblicate prima della Headley Grange Session, incluse come parte di una scheda di download digitale con l’audio completo del set.
Include anche un libro da 60 pagine con note di copertina del giornalista Alexis Petridis, che ha intervistato tutti e cinque i membri della band per raccontare la storia dell’album dalle sessioni di scrittura alle esibizioni dal vivo, immagini di Armando Gallo, Richard Haines e altri fotografi, e il set include anche una replica del programma del tour del 1975, un biglietto e un poster.

Nel corso di un incontro pubblico, Steve ha raccontato la sua avventura musicale con i Genesis, la sua musica, la sua arte chitarristica.
Con lui ha dialogato il giornalista Mario Giammetti, autore di oltre 15 libri sui Genesis e uno dei maggiori esperti internazionali della band inglese.
Ecco un estratto dell’incontro:
Una conversazione aperta alle domande e al contributo del pubblico, per ascoltare, dalla voce del chitarrista, le storie, gli aneddoti e i personaggi di una straordinaria vicenda creativa, una preziosa occasione per scoprire il suo talento espressivo e la sua tecnica compositiva, per esplorare, insieme ad uno dei protagonisti, il complesso universo Genesis.
La Biblioteca “G. Carducci” di Spoleto prosegue così l’omaggio ad alcuni dei protagonisti e degli album più influenti della musica e della cultura rock degli anni ‘70, dopo l’approfondimento critico, nel gennaio scorso, dedicato a Selling England by the Pound dei Genesis (raccontato e analizzato, attraverso le testimonianze inedite dei membri della band, da Mario Giammetti).
